The
Cleveland Browns shifted things around moments before the NFL draft to
get the team into position to draft the running back the Cleveland fans
really wanted. Trent Richardson was picked with the third pick in the
NFL draft last night and when interviewed Richardson vowed to come to
Cleveland and turn things around for the Cleveland Browns and Stop the
losing.
If Richardson can live up to those words the fans and the
city of Cleveland would lose their minds. The Cleveland Browns haven't
had too many winning seasons since returning to the NFL in 1999. The
Browns now have a guy in the running-back position that comes from a
very solid college career. The real question becomes, if Richardson can
have the same level of success in the NFL.
Taking a running-back
that early in the NFL draft is a UN-usual move that isn't normally done.
Running-backs in the NFL have become replaceable objects. The Cleveland
Browns must have felt Richardson's college career spoke volumes as to
why the Browns needed to take Richardson with the third pick in the
Draft.
Welcome to Cleveland Trent Richardson, may you have a long
and successful career in the city with the greatest fans in the world.
We all hope you can live up to your words and get things turned around
for the Cleveland Browns..... Wolf, Wolf....
