The Cleveland Indians Play 28 Innings in Two Days And Lose Twice

Written By Larry M. Glicken "LG"

Jason Kinis hits two run shotThe Cleveland Indians have been playing plenty of baseball over the last two days. The problem is they haven't been able to win. Today Ubaldo Jimenez got the start for the Tribe, Jimenez pitched great for the first six innings this afternoon, striking out three giving three free passes and in the seventh inning things started to unravel for the big man.

Jimenez gave up his first runs in the seventh inning. The Indians could find enough runs to end this game in regulation again today. Manager Manny Acta used six of his Bull Pen Pitchers today.

Joe Smith came in and struck out 2, Vinny Pestano came into todays game and didn't fair as well as he did yesterday. Pestano gave up a home run and surrendered two hits. Acta would then go to Rafael Perez, Tony Sipp and Dan Wheeler.

The Indians scored four runs today, the first two coming off the bat of second baseman Jason kipnis who hit a two run shot over the right center wall in the fifth inning. The Indians would score another run in the ninth when Asdrubal Cabrera  in the ninth when the Indians tried to win the game avoiding extra innings after Thursday's home opener was the longest home opening game in the history of M.L.B.

The Tribe could put this one away and the Toronto Blue Jays won the game scoring four runs in the 12th inning to win the game 7-4 for the second time in as many games.
The Indians play the Toronto Blue Jays in the series finally tomorrow afternoon. Lets hope the Indians can find some magic and at least take one from Toronto.
